001L 2F Online Forms

Online forms are very common. The obvious examples are whenever you would have had a paper for to fill out, such as job applications, income or car tax and insurance. They are just like the traditional paper forms you have filled out many times: you fill in boxes with information and you tick boxes with the correct option.

You can access an online form any time – you don’t have to collect it or wait for the post. You can also submit it right away online, saving postage costs. And there’s no risk of it getting lost on the way.

(We call them forms simply because its a bit of computer-speak!)

But why fill in a form online? You will need to fill out  a form whenever you want to provide a website with information:

  • to provide your username/password to sign in
  • the to, subject and message boxes when sending an email
  • the item quantity, size and colour when shopping
  • providing your name and address
