010 BEGINNERS COMPUTING

Beginner’s Computing is aimed at real novices, those who just starting out, maybe just about managing to do some basic things. There’s virtually no jargon or fancy activities, only the very essentials you need to know. These first steps are critical as they develop confidence in something that is totally alien to most adults. Once started, the exercises are straightforward and telephone support will probably be adequate.

For absolute beginners and new starters (having virtually never used a computer before), we recommend joining a class or at least work with a friend (who may have just a little experience). This way you get help with using the keyboard and mouse.

We know that one of the most difficult things is actually getting the computer working properly to even start … !
