001/X Social Media, Exploring

Its About Sharing

Social Media is your noticeboard where you can share your ideas and thoughts, post up pictures, videos and links you have found online. Your friends, family and other group members can see these things and make comments about them – you can also make comments about their things too. This way conversations spring up and you discover common interests.

For the purpose of this exercise we will look at Twitter & YouTube

  • Its simple to use
  • You can read it without being a member
    – without registering – they will encourage you to though!
    – Facebook requires you to register before you can do anything
  • Many newspapers, clubs and public personalities use it to promote themselves
  • Content is kept light, no heavy reading
