Search for files in Google Drive

We can keep our files (documents, pictures, videos or music) well organised using folders and giving them sensible traceable names

However, sometimes something cannot be found, maybe

• a download from months ago
• someone else’s file with a random name
• you’ve forgotten a key part of the name
• its been accidentally moved to the wrong folder
• it was created in the wrong folder (*files are created in the active folder)

Thankfully Google provides a powerful search tool at the top of every Drive page

2. Press enter for the results

This will search for matches in:

• file or folder names
• file contents
