MS Excel is a tool for managing data. The data goes into and is arranged in a grid or table
Before you create your spreadsheet, think about how to arrange your data, do you want the information to go across or down the page? You will have:
- rows going across
- columns going up and down
- the height and width of rows and columns will have to change according to how much data they will contain
- cells can be merged, eg to make a heading
- rows or columns might be hidden
