Ealing IT Classes Summer 2023

Summer Update

All our beginners’ classes are more group sessions than formal classes. Everyone will be using standard computers in the class so everything should be similar to other machines – you are however welcome to bring your own laptop and tablet, etc. You will need a modern smart phone for later in the course in order to access email etc.

You will throughout have the opportunity to practise using your own mobile device.

Classes are about 2 hours long

  • we cannot enrol anyone

We have 2 courses running this spring:

1. Computing, Get Started (First Steps)(E0)

The Get Started is an introductory course ideal for anyone totally new to computing. Starting with the keyboard and mouse and building up familiarity with computers, we learn how to safely browse and find things on the internet, using email and more.

These are essential skills in today’s world, and important that you understand how to be safe as you join today’s digital age.

This 5 week course is designed especially for those completely new to computing. Being new starters, the sessions will be carefully paced to give lots of time to gain the basic skills, working together in group sessions rather than a formal class. You will be using standard computers in the class so everything should be similar to other machines – you are however most welcome to bring your own laptop and tablet, etc.
